Job Opportunity – Workshop Manager

Overview

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily workshop activities to ensure timely completion of repairs and routine maintenance while upholding quality standards
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Monitor the use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper handling, maintenance, and storage
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to uphold safety and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with procurement to manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and materials needed for projects
  • Provide training and mentorship to workshop staff to enhance skills in mechanical knowledge and tool usage
  • Assisting with the delivery of events where required.
  • Ensure the necessary number of karts are prepared daily and available for events
  • Assist with the maintenance of the venue and circuit where required
  • Conduct periodic checks of site plant and vehicles.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Knowledge & experience working with Honda GX engines
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a diverse team
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Clear communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, suppliers, and clients
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to workshop environments
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience of mechanical work in a motorsport environment, preferable.

Due to the nature of the business weekend work and some evening will be required.
