Workshop Manager (Full time 40hrs p/w – Permanent)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily workshop activities to ensure timely completion of repairs and routine maintenance while upholding quality standards
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Monitor the use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper handling, maintenance, and storage
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to uphold safety and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with procurement to manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and materials needed for projects
  • Provide training and mentorship to workshop staff to enhance skills in mechanical knowledge and tool usage
  • Assisting with the delivery of events where required.
  • Ensure the necessary number of karts are prepared daily and available for events
  • Assist with the maintenance of the venue and circuit where required
  • Conduct periodic checks of site plant and vehicles.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Knowledge & experience working with Honda GX engines
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate a diverse team
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Clear communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, suppliers, and clients
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to workshop environments
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience of mechanical work in a motorsport environment, preferable.

Due to the nature of the business weekend work and some evening will be required.

Mechanic (Part time approx. 16-24hrs pw / Permanent)

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of karts to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep operations running smoothly, allowing our team to achieve their goals efficiently. Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on karts to identify issues early
  • Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, and specialized mechanical equipment
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used
  • Use of electric forklift – Training given
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems quickly to minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met
  • Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance procedures
  • Support the installation of new equipment and upgrades as needed

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
  • Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, impact wrenches, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Prior experience working in a maintenance or repair environment is preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently or as part of a team

Ad Hoc Night Warden (Sickness & Holiday Cover)

Overview

We are looking for a Night Warden to cover sickness and holidays on an ad hoc basis. Usual hours are 10pm-8am but may vary. This is a lone worker role.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the site through the night
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Ensure race wear is washed, dried and restocked ready for the next day
  • Awareness of site security and ensuring buildings and perimeter are kept secure through the night

Skills

  • Proactive and can do attitude without need for close management
  • Knowledge & experience of lone working preferred but not essential
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Full training will be given.
